Address: Torget 21, 8300 Svolvær
This amazing trip combines scenic views and wildlife with an unforgettable cultural experience. Cruise through incredible nature, visit an authentic goat farm and enjoy a homemade feast while listening to captivating stories of life in northern Norway.
We cruise through an archipelago of over 600 islands and make our way to a quaint goat farm producing local artisanal cheeses and foods. If lucky, we will observe sea eagles as well as a variety of sea birds, seals, porpoises and maybe even whales!
Upon arrival, we meet the goats and visit a small museum rich is cultural artefacts passed down by several generations. Our host recounts stories of living in this remote land and the challenges that she as well as her ancestors have faced and risen above.
Watch over 300 goats come home from their day of grazing in the mountains as they get ready to be milked. The viewing platform from the newly renovated dining area will allow you to see every step of the milking process. You may even have the chance to milk a goat with your bare hands!
We enjoy a delicious, homemade meal overlooking the Lofoten archipelago. Our host will offer us a cheese tasting and entertain us with more stories and songs about her passion for her goats and this land. After a wonderful evening at the goat farm and having too much to eat, we cruise back to Svolvær and take-in the spectacular arctic landscape one more time.
Our open boat with comfortable seats caters to small groups (12 passengers) and is a perfect platform for sightseeing and wildlife viewing. Please note that we support eco-tourism and do not feed the wildlife.
