XXLofoten take you out to explore the Lofoten Islands nature on snowshoes this winter. From January to April there is often snow and good conditions for snowshoeing and impressive lights shifting every hour during daytime. Snowshoeing is an easy way to get close to nature without too much hassle, and everyone can use them.

XXLofoten take you out to explore the Lofoten Islands nature on snowshoes this winter. From January to April there is often snow and good conditions for snowshoeing and impressive lights shifting every hour during daytime. Snowshoeing is an easy way to get close to nature without too much hassle, and everyone can use them. Our experienced guide is ready to take you out on a guided 3-4-hour trip in the backyard he knows as his back pocket. Intriguing stories will be told, easy walks in our fantastic, silent nature is our goal for the trip. We guide you to the best views and photo spots. Don´t forget your camera!

We don´t go far to find complete silence and wilderness. We find the best route after today´s weather conditions and when no snow, we use crampons. Our guide find the right snowshoes and poles before setting off in our minibus for today´s starting point close to the city. You do not have to be fit to go on a trip with us, but interested in wildlife, nature and to get to know more about the Lofoten Islands.

In case of very bad weather conditions the trip may be cancelled or postponed to the next day. We always try to find options and discuss them with our guests.

Main season: 2.1-30.4.
Scheduled tours: 10.00-14.00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Kids (From 8-16): 50 % discount

Bookings can be made until 3 hours prior to departure. Tours also made on request.

What to wear and bring?
The weather in Lofoten chances rapidly, and during winter we advise you to bring warm clothes, just the same as you will see locals are wearing:
• Wool underwear
• Fleece or wool sweather
• Warm jacket and trousers that isolates.
• Scarf, gloves, hat, warm and isolated shoes
• A back-pack with extra sweather, gloves, warm and cold drinks and a snack.
